The Sichuan cuisine is known for its spiciness – no wonder, as is also the famous Sichuan pepper from this province. In addition to the spiciness the Sichuan chefs combine sweet and sour flavors with traditional food preparation techniques into delicious meals.Our head chef is Mr. Jianguo Zhang from Chengdu, a city in the center of China where the Sichuan cuisine has its origins. Influenced by the flavors of his childhood, Mr. Zhang was always faithful to the Sichaun cuisine, starting as an apprentice, also while working as a chef and finally as a head chef. With these flavors in mind his long journey from Chengdu over Shanghai to the far away Munich began. After 12 years of experience, he has internalized the Sichaun cuisine and made it his own. Together with Mr. Zhang, we would like to serve you the real and authentic Sichuan cuisine and amaze you – you won‘t miss the sweet and sour duck! On his way home from school as a child, Mr. Zhang went through a small forest every day. The forest was filled with the delicous scents of the food that his mother had already cooked for him.
